Documents required

Applicant (individual) KYC — applies to Individual, Organisation & DGFT

🇮🇳 Indian applicant

  • Aadhaar card
  • PAN card
  • Active email ID
  • Active mobile number (linked with Aadhaar)

🌐 Foreign national

  • Passport (mandatory) — notarised, and apostilled (Hague-convention countries) or consularised / attested by the Indian Embassy (non-Hague)
  • Address proof (driving licence / recent bank statement / utility bill) — similarly attested
  • Recent photograph
  • Active mobile number & email
  • Video verification — capturing the passport, your face and a live OTP

Organisation & DGFT DSC: in addition to the authorised person's KYC above, these need entity documents — organisation PAN, an authorisation letter, proof of the applicant's authority, and (for DGFT) the firm's IEC and GST details. We'll share the exact checklist once you tell us the type.

Requirements follow eMudhra / CCA (Controller of Certifying Authorities) guidelines and can change — we'll confirm the exact set for your case before you start. Foreign attestation/apostille typically takes 7–15 days; issuance after a complete KYC pack is usually 3–7 working days.

Application process — Indian (Aadhaar eKYC)

  1. Complete the payment.
  2. Verify your identity using the Aadhaar OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
  3. Complete the email OTP verification.
  4. Finish the video verification as per the prescribed guidelines.
  5. The application is submitted for department approval.
  6. On approval, your DSC is generated and made available for download.
